BLUSD held our regional International Blues Challenge at Tio Leo’s on Saturday, July 29th.  We had SEVEN bands competing: Zavala Sol, Manzanita Blues, JumpStart, Power Lily, Camel Toejam, Casey Hensley Band, and Bill Grisolia Band.  Our judges were Big Al Schneider, Steve Douglas, Ric Lee and Barney Roach.  They had their work cut out for them in this competition, but they got the job done.  Thanks to the bands, the judges, volunteers Barbara Kabes, Richard Farrell and Lawrence Morrow for making this an event to remember.  We wish Zavals Sol the best of luck in Memphis January 16-20, 2024!
