Celebration of Life for Dave K, Blues Musician, BITS Artist, and Community Volunteer

As you may know, Dave “K” Konstantin, owner of K-Co Construction, Inc. , founder of the Clairemont Community News and well-known community volunteer, passed away of mesothelioma on June 6th.   Dave was also a member of BLUSD and one he was one of our BITS artists (a drummer) who helped us with our mission to turn kids onto the blues.  He was the leader of the Road Dogs blues/rock band and you may recall that the Road Dogs opened for many of the big dogs including Tommy Castro at the Belly Up (2011) Smokin Joe Kubek at House of Blues (2008) and Doyle Bramhall at Humphreys (2006).  Dave was one of the lucky ones who got to live out his dream and go on tour with the band, when in 2007-2008, he toured with Smoking Joe Kubek and Bnois King.  If you would like to read Dave K’s blog of his tour go to davekdrums.blogspot.com/.

Family, friends and colleagues will remember Dave at a public Celebration of Life memorial this Sunday, July 1st at 2pm at Live Well San Diego, 4425 Bannock Ave.  All are welcome. Please contact his sister, Janet Miller, via email to moc.tnomerialcnull@tenaj if you have any questions.  Please feel free to forward this message to anyone you know who may have known Dave and have an interest.
